About me
I built my first program when I was eleven, a price calculator for holiday apartments. It was pretty bad, but people used it, and the feeling of making something that other people actually use is still the reason I do most of what's on this site. By sixteen I had my first systems running in production.
Right now I'm doing my apprenticeship as a DevOps software engineer at Swiss Post, where I work on full stack development and event streaming. Next to that I build my own things, like the checkout and ordering system we use at the youth events at our church, which I wrote about in detail on the blog.
This year I won the cloud computing category at the Swiss ICT regional championships with 120 out of 120 points, which got me a place in the national finals. The full results are public if you want to check.
Most of my free time goes into lighting. I program and run shows on a GrandMA3, sometimes live by hand and sometimes on timecode, and the biggest rooms I've lit so far held around 2,000 people.
